Cbank: Russians’ demand for foreign cash falls 44% on mo in Feb
MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- Russians’ net demand for cash foreign currency decreased 44% on the month to an equivalent to U.S. $300 million in February, the central bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
Banks imported $500,000 million worth of foreign cash in February, which is 60% less than in January. U.S. dollar imports fell by 71%, euro imports 3%.
Foreign currency exports fell 13% to $400,000 million.
